Alone With My Mind
Alone with my mind;
Wonder what I'd find
If I could see behind
The fear that makes me blind.
Thoughts - elusive, taunting;
Memories so haunting...
I try to escape them,
But I'm way too slow.
My heart hides from the past;
But time is just too fast...
I try to go forward,
But leave tomorrow behind.
Death and life are one;
Each has just begun.
I just can't remember -
Which I long for most.
Neverending feeling;
Emotions send me reeling.
Each time I recover -
They attack again.
Alone with my mind;
Wonder what I'd find
If I could see behind
The fear that makes me blind...
